Robert's Florida Boatyard
Windsprint is an older Phil Bolger Design. If you look closely, you can see that it's really a scaled up version of his 12' Instant Boat "Teal ". In his book, "Build the New Instant Boats", Dynamite Payson indicates that the hull was originally part of an experimental bow steering prototype that Bolger designed. After the experiment finally proved less than successful, Payson asked for a revised rig, lee board and rudder in order to take advantage of an easy to build and very pretty hull.
